EDUCATIONAL ESCORT : PRATAPGARH FARMS

Gitarattan Institute of Advanced Studies and Training organised a one day trip to Pratapgarh Farms on 5th February, 2024 which is located in Jhajjar, Haryana. All the pupil teachers were informed about the trip in advance and an amount was collected to make all the necessary arrangements for the same. All pupil teachers going on the trip reached the college premises by 8:00 am. As soon as they reached, all of them were told to submit their consent form which were signed by their parents. All the pupil teachers along with the teachers clicked a group picture before leaving for the trip. Two buses were arranged. Upon boarding the bus, pupil teachers were introduced with one member from the Pratapgarh Farms itself who accompanied them in the journey. Pupils teachers enjoyed the bus journey by listening to songs, playing games, and sharing food. Finally, the buses reached the destination at around 10:30 am.

At the entrance of the farm, all the bus members were given a warm welcome by people of Prapatgarh farms and were handed out pamphlets to make an enjoyable experience for them. Upon entering the farm, pupil teachers and all other teachers accompanying them were guided towards the breakfast area where they enjoyed a delicious meal. After have breakfast, pupil teachers were allowed to go and visit the farm. They were also instructed to assemble by 3:00 pm for leaving the farm. Pupil teachers had around 4 hours to explore the farm. The farm was divided into 6 lawns, all of which had different activities. Some of the activities at farm were pottery, camel ride, adventurous games, rope way, etc. There were different sports also for example badminton, football, cricket, basket ball, volleyball, and cricket. The farm had a small pond as well where the pupil teachers enjoyed a peaceful boat ride and the pond ducks accompanied them in water. Indoor games were also something that all the pupil teachers enjoyed. Games like air hockey, fuss-ball, table tennis, carrom, chess, etc. were present in the indoor games section of farm. The farm was made in a very village kind of environment so many of the village elements were also present like a huge cow farm, also known as the Vedic Gaushala. There were many cows and bulls in the gaushala and people were allowed to feed the animals too. One more interesting thing about the farm was that there were different eating joints that were open all the time till farm closes. Here people can get freshly cooked food and try out organic village delicacies. There were different stalls selling a variety handcrafted products too for example cups, wall hangings, statues, diaries, pots, bangles, earings, and many more. After much exploration, the pupil teachers and other teachers had a fulfilling lunch. All pupil teachers gathered by 3:00 pm as they were told earlier. They enjoyed a DJ session till 3:30 pm where they danced along with their friends and enjoyed quality time.

The group had a photo session before leaving and thanked their teachers for organising such a great trip. All members enjoyed the trip and left the farm with some beautiful memories. They boarded the bus fully exhausted and most of them fell asleep in just a few minutes. The buses reached college premises around 6:30 pm where all pupil teachers bid each other good bye as well the supporting teachers that went with them on this memorable trip.
